Mechanical and dimensional tests

The choice of materials for a given industrial application requires knowledge and mastery of mechanical characteristics.
At this stage, the mechanical characterization of the materials is based on the study of its behavior with respect to external stresses which generate stresses and deformations.
The mechanical laboratory at NTL performs destructive tests and measurements, hence their importance and the most commonly used.

    •      Traction (300 N up to 150 KN)
    •      Compression (300 N up to 150 KN)
    •      3-point bending (300 N up to 100 KN)
    •      Brinell hardness
    •      Vickers hardness
    •      Rockwell hardness
    •      Shore A, D & O hardness
    •      Dimensional (measurements of interior shapes and verification of surfaces)
